Employee Spotlight: Kelly Kirielis

Tell us a little about your background:

I grew up in Lubbock.  My dad was a professor at Texas Tech.  My mom helped run our rental business.  I have 3 brothers.  I went to Texas Tech.  I’ve been married to my wife, Laurie, for 20 years.

How long have you worked at Jones & Associates and what do you do?

I’ve worked here for 9 years.  I run the mail room, set appointments and help Ginger, our secretary.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The feeling of a family unit here at Jones.  I’ve never had that at any other job.  I like to go to work.

What surprised you most about working here?

How well everyone works together and gets along.

What are some of your hobbies when you’re not working?

Watching sports, playing golf and traveling.

If someone writes a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?

Don’t Judge a Book by it’s Cover

What is the best vacation you ever went on?

My trip to Bali, Indonesia with my wife a couple of years ago.

What is something you’ve always wanted to try?

I’d like to be a professional comedian.

What is something that most people don’t know about you?

I was the putt-putt champion of Lubbock in 1977.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

Retired in a nice beach front house on the gulf.

 

Kelly  is a dedicated employee. He steps up and helps out wherever there is a need.  He helps keep everything rolling at Jones & Associates and he does keep us laughing.  I hope everyone enjoyed getting to know Kelly a little better as much as I did!
