Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year! I hope that you can look back at 2012 with fond memories and a sense of
accomplishment. We were blessed with another good year in both our family and our business. Most people that I know are facing this new year with some uncertainty. We are experiencing a divided
government and a degree of fear of the unknown. At this writing, we are still uncertain if we will fall off of the “fiscal cliff.” No one can accurately predict what will happen if we do OR if we don’t. It’s easy to get caught up in thinking about all of the “what ifs.” In uncertain times, I think it’s important for us to concentrate on some of the unchanging things that we can always rely on. Foremost, if you are a believer, you are not going to experience one thing that has not passed through the filter of our Savior, Jesus Christ. That’s not to say that our walk will be easy. We still experience illness, relationship problems, financial setbacks and any other calamity that is common to man. But for us, there can be benefit from even the negative things in life. The Apostle Paul wrote that all things work to our good and have the potential to mold us to be more and more like our Savior. So, if we do face hard times, let’s commit to loving the Lord and to be that helping hand to those around us. Jesus said that all the law and all of the prophets are hinged on these two things. If God is for us, who can be against us?
May God’s favor be shown to you and yours in 2013!
